Blue Sky Black Death just released another video for an upcoming project due out in 2011. The video is for the track 'Heart Attack' featuring Yes Alexander and is beautifully done in my opinion. I just got off the phone with Kingston (1 half of BSBD) and really got my looking forward to everything they are about to release. As you can see, BSBD has been intertwined with Defam's overall focus one way or another, whether the music we use for our videos, website, or just to fall back on for inspiration; you can never go wrong. Detroit has a music scene that continues to birth great artist.  The city has a lot of artist that have impacted music in many aspects.  For sure, neo-soul artist Dwele is one of them.  He's had his touch in hip-hop working with artists like Slum Village all the way to Kanye West.  A couple of weeks ago, he stopped in Chicago to perform at The Shrine.  Once again, we teamed up with our good friends at GoWhereHipHop.  In this interview, Dwele discusses the impact J. We apologize for the lack of actual updates, but we assure you this only means progress is being made. Over the past week and were able to take a break from all the Owner's production madness and catch up with our Seattle homies. With a little leisure and business inspiration I was able to catch the good moments that I felt necessary to document.

This will be the first time that Spitta has performed in Ottawa and will also be one of his first few shows in Canada. With his album “Pilot Talk” being released on June 15th, expect to hear a lot of new material. Also performing is Cashtro Crosby, a Pittsburgh / Ottawa native, and Ottawa’s own 2Tone and Cee from Hood Money Records. There will be tons of giveaways courtesy of The Goodie Bag and Oxyrotin. One of the senseis of SkiBeatz 24 Hour Karate School Band, and long time friend of ours, we sitback and witness the come up of multi-talented musician Brady Watt. Who in this video talks about the growth in his skills, which takes him to the position he is currently in now; working with credible artists, such as SkiBeatz, Curren$y, Mos Def, Stalley, Talib Kweli, and stands as Rocafella's house bass player. A very humble and motivated individual we felt it very necessary to shed light on his story, and to show you the one thing that recurrs in everyone who is hungry's mind: 'Anything can happen'

Brady has contributed a massive amount of work that you will soon be able to hear on SkiBeatz '24 Hour School' and Curren$y's upcoming album 'Pilot Talk' both scheduled to be release before Summer 2010. Keep your eyes peeled for those, both to exceed the hype!

We would like to wish Brady the best of luck with everything and would like to thank Brady, DD172, Spitta, Stalley, Daru Jones, SkiBeatz, Rugz D. Bewler, for the opportunity to put out a great interview.

We recently got up with Stevie Crooks, for those of you who are still unfamiliar, Stevie is a West Coast rapper that holds down that early East Coast sound. He also represents the streetwear culture to the fullest and uses that to his benefit when it comes down to his rhymes. What up Stevie? What you getting into today?
Whadup Whadup Nothing Major....California is looking beautiful today, play it by ear & stay outta trouble!

Stay focused my dude! Now we know your from Cali but fill us in on exactly what area you grew up in and where you currently reside? How did that location influence you in the music you make?
I was Born in Bellflower & went back and forth to Compton with my Grandma due to mom and pops working then we moved to the I.E ...But my location didn't influence a damn thing sad to say....I grew up on East-Coast music and stayed in my own world

That's real dope regardless. What event or events lead up to the turning point when you told yourself that I'm going to make this music shit happen?
Man good question, maybe when I broke up with my girl just to cypher with the homies in the parking lot at school or maybe the time i found myself ditching highschool daily just to make record on a weak lil KB toys mic haha classic!

Here at Defam we consider your "Diamonds and Guns" tape to be classic material. What details about your next project can you give us?
Yo i appreciate that Fam!....i cant tell you everything about the next project but do expect sicker beats and some collabs this time around I honestly want D&G to get enough time to be heard ..quality over quantity

Its all about building first with me its nothing wrong with email swapping but ima throwback I like to know what type of cat im on a record with a lot Snakes dwell the streets these days....But id love to work with a producer like a SkiBeatz just to drop one name



Its evident you hold the west coast down but what east coast artist has influenced you the most?
Shiii....theres too many to name to be honest
I think every artist in the East coast around 94-96 around that time I was falling in love with hiphop and didn't know it ...I was bubble jacket, Timberland, camouflaged up on some Wu-Tang, MobbDeep, Onyx type ish.

Timeless! The come up of streetwear and hip hop hasn't always been at the point where it's at now, what are your plans to keep it consistent? And not let it saturate.
Stay original and pray to God these dudes stop using google images and whack rappers to rock their brands..but I got a feeling something will be said soon im sure of it.
